The election was above all a defeat for the Christian Right -- see discussion by IPS, Hrafnkell Haraldsson, Capital Public Radio, Reason Being, and CNN (links found via Republic of Gilead, whose own assessment is here).  The God-hates-fags crowd is especially freaked out.

Great list. Even though I made my own round-up I only found one of these on my own. What is the internet equivalent of "ink being spilt" on a topic?

The ORCA stuff is the biggest surprise. What goes around comes around, I guess, and this gives us some kind of idea of what kind of a "business man" Romney really is!

Hmmm, I kind of liked the article about the Republican who wanted Texas to secede. I've been hoping for that to occur my whole life.Could they take RoVa with them? ;)

LA: It's startling how much of an aura of bumbling and incompetence attaches to the Republican party these days. Their Presidential primary was an absolute clown show, they nominated at least two Senate candidates who made grossly offensive remarks about rape, of all topics, Romney's campaign was apparently believing that skewed-polls crap, and now their GOTV effort is revealed as a fiasco. Maybe all the smart Republicans have already jumped ship?

Mendip: Maybe RoVa can at least separate from NoVa and SE Virginia to form a new red state to "balance" Puerto Rico. It's happened before -- Kentucky and West Virginia used to be part of Virginia.

SK: Gloat gloat gloat gloat gloat.....

The ineffectiveness of ORCA and the success of the Obama campaign strategy will go down in history and will be studied for decades.
