Individualist, pro-technology, pro-democracy, anti-religion. I speak only for myself and not for any ideology, movement, or party. It has been my great good fortune to live my whole life free of "spirituality" of any kind. I believe that evidence and reason are the keys to understanding reality; that technology rather than ideology or politics has been the great liberator of humanity; and that in the long run, human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe.
God doesn't exist
Evolution happened
Global warming is real
Homosexuality is normal
Aging is a curable disease
The election was not stolen
Everything "spiritual" is a lie
Free speech is for everybody
Humans do not have "souls"
Men can't become women
Fetuses are not persons
Words are not violence
Taiwan is a nation
Pluto is a planet

Again, the Middle East is not my area of expertise - but having disclosed that, I would expect that if a dozen "protesters" showed up in some square in Riyadh, they might quickly wind up with their heads and bodies going in separate directions.
The Saudi Arabian Kingdom is no Egypt.
And a dozen protesters in Egypt would have been brushed aside with equal ease, if less gore. A hundred thousand -- in either country -- is a different matter.
I guess the point I was attempting to make was that I would think it difficult to even find a dozen people who would even RISK trying to instigate a public protest in Saudi Arabia... let alone anything remotely the scale of what transpired in Egypt. Saudi Arabia gives me chills.
