Another one bites the.....oh, never mind

Anti-gay Republican legislator caught DWI in official vehicle while leaving gay nightclub with unidentified male etc. etc. etc.....Guys, this is getting monotonous. We all already know the biggest gay-bashers tend to be closet cases. Next time, can we get something involving sheep or inflatable dolls just for a bit of variety?

I'm still waiting for the refucklicans to change their symbol from the elephant to the moth for being SO in the closet.

I remember Jimmy Swaggert, one of the biggest preachers in the late 70's and early 80's. He used to turn red during his speeches talking about sin. Once he screamed out, YOU KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG!!!!!

Ended up being everything he condemned.

Apparently he tried making a comeback.

Sue: That would be em-bare-assing -- almost as much as Gary "wetsuits and dildo" Aldridge! By all means pile on with a posting, the more the merrier!

CDM: Excellent idea. The elephant is far too good an animal to be degraded to such a purpose. Another possible Republican symbol here.

AM: Preachers rival Republicans for their proficiency at condemning sexual eccentricity while secretly practicing it. I'm not sure whether his attempted comeback was as a preacher or a pervert, but I guess he didn't make much of a splash either way.

It make's sense that any moralist or hetero for instance that like's to indulge in certain unpopular sex act's would be opposed to .... let's say in this case same sex marriage. You indulge in these practice's to begin with for the "excitement", the "rush", the whole "naughtiness" of it add's to the appeal. So ask yourself .... why would a man as this gent for instance be so opposed to same sex marriage? Perhap's maybe, because it would make gay's more normal let's say like them and their value's .... it "de- evil's" it ... if you will, and make's it no longer "taboo" but acceptable and moral. Same with fetishes that are really off the wall, the last thing you would want is for the fetish to have a schlew of rules, moral's and regualtion's to abide by .... it take's away the thrill or excitement. Would he want the loose gay community that he like's to indulge in now and have arcade and toilet sex in, to become a clean moralist organization like an enviroment he may have to live in day in and day out, because of his peer's and how "proper" it is? But ..... this is just my opinion.

Thank You Sir .........

At some point it's going to be easier to report on the ones that don't get caught frolicking around drunk and high and nekkid. "Senator So-and-so went home to his wife last night, fell asleep in his recliner, and had a late snack before curling up in bed with his wife of thirty years" -- that would be shocking.

RC: I actually think the link with "naughtiness" and being "dirty" springs from the fact that sex (or a particular form of it that someone is into) is "forbidden" -- but that's a subject for another posting.

GL: A shocking scenario indeed. I agree with you. Similarly, I've long suspected that there's only a certain sub-population of politicians who actually believe in God, as opposed to putting on a show of it to impress the voters. Most of them don't act like they believe in God any more than the general public does.

Infidel: Read the other report. One comment was especially interesting:

"Here’s a man, that wanted to do good in the world, beaten by fear and intimidation into betraying himself."

Personally, I'm less sympathetic. It's true that people like Ashburn are tormented by being raised with a hatred that turns into self-hatred. But everyone has free will. No one forced him to become a scourge to others who are more honest about their sexuality than he was -- nor was it a momentary impulse that made him so. It took him hard work over a long period of time to get where he is today and to use his power the way he has. That takes more than trauma or even hypocrisy; that takes evil.

A hateful or cynical person might argue that when Republican politicians speak of a "caucus", that they actually spell it differently from how the rest of us would. Fortunately, I am too well-bred to spread such malicious gossip...
