The pretty months begin with March

The weather is still quite cool here, but no longer bitingly cold -- and that means that skirts and sandals have started to reappear. In a place where the actual warm season is fairly short, many local ladies can't wait for summer to start showing themselves off. And so, just as with the flowers of spring to come, the re-emergence of beauty is the surest sign that the dreariness of winter is over.

How very true.
I was up at my old house yesterday with the kids. All the bulbs I've planted over the years are doing so well this year.
I wish they'd hurry with the courtyard they've promised us. I'm envisioning a Japanese style garden...

It's snowing AGAIN in Chicago. I don't think it's ever going to end, which is just as well, I have about five pounds I want to lose before I start wearing those summer clothes.

Sorry, I didn't realize I didn't have you on my blogroll. It seems to have disappeared when I was gone, so I'm re-doing it today. Hope you don't mind if I add you. If you do...too bad, it's done. :-D

Well, I'm only a few miles away from you... but I haven't seen any beauty! Not a single one. Only a few guys with some sort of capri, that doesn't quite cover your butt. No beauty... just pain.

No sandals over here yet. I tend to be a little colder than everybody else. :)
